In short

Driveway snow blowing is $785 for the season in Woodbury and Lake Elmo. One rate covers every snowfall over two inches, the city berm after each municipal plow pass, and deep or drifted storms. Shoveling is not included, which is what holds the price well under a typical plow contract.

  • $785 flat for the season, billed once rather than per storm
  • Covers every snowfall over two inches from the first storm to the last
  • The city berm at the street is included after every municipal plow pass
  • Heavy winters cost the same as light ones
  • Driveway only. Walks, steps, and decks are not part of the service
  • Long or multi-vehicle driveways are quoted individually

The rate

What the season rate covers.

A standard residential driveway in Woodbury or Lake Elmo, cleared every time it snows more than two inches, for one price agreed before the first storm.

  • Shoveling is not included. Walks, steps, and decks stay yours.
  • That omission is deliberate. Shoveling is the labor that drives plow contracts up, and leaving it out is how the season rate stays where it is.

Flat rate

$785per season

One flat rate for the whole winter, however much it snows.

  • Every snowfall over two inches, all season long
  • The frozen berm the city plow leaves at the street
  • Snow thrown wide across the yard, not banked along the edges
  • The same team at your house every storm
  • Deep and drifted storms at no extra charge

Why flat rate

A per-storm bill turns every snowfall into an argument.

Per-push pricing sounds fair until the winter is heavy. Then you are checking trigger depths, questioning whether a two inch storm really counted, and opening an invoice in March that is three times what you budgeted. A flat rate moves that risk onto us, which is where it belongs.

  • You know the number before the first flake falls
  • A heavy winter costs exactly what a light one does
  • No incentive for anyone to argue about whether a storm qualified
  • One transaction instead of fifteen

Compared with

How this lands next to a plow contract.

We are not the cheapest way to move snow and we are not trying to be the most complete. We are one service done well at one price.

  • Less than most plow contracts

Because shoveling is off the list, the labor cost that pushes full-service contracts up is not in this price.

  • Better result on the driveway

No banks, no narrowing, no berm pile, far less turf and paver damage to find in April.

  • Driveway only

If you need walks and steps cleared too, you will want a full-service contractor or a teenager with a shovel.

Frequently asked

Pricing questions.

  • Is $785 really the whole cost?

For a standard residential driveway in our two cities, yes. The only reason a quote comes back different is an unusually long, steep, or multi-vehicle driveway, and we tell you that before you commit rather than after.

  • What counts as a storm worth clearing?

Anything over two inches. We are watching the forecast, not waiting for your call, so you do not have to decide whether a given snowfall qualifies.

  • What if it barely snows this winter?

You pay the same. That is the trade. In a light winter the flat rate favors us and in a heavy one it favors you, and neither of us has to renegotiate in the middle of a storm.

  • When do I pay?

Once, before the season starts, after we have confirmed your driveway and your spot on the route. Call (612) 849-0254 or email info@drivewaysnowpros.com to sort out the details.

  • Do you clear my sidewalk for an extra fee?

No. We do not offer shoveling at any price. It is the one thing we deliberately do not do, and it is the reason the driveway rate is what it is.
